This is the tradition in Semarang which held a day before ramadhan (fasting month for moslem people). This tradition is called Warak Ngendog festival. It is like a ceremony before ramadhan, and this carnival is followed with Dugderan, a kind of night market that sells potteries.

The carnival usually followed by troops, marching band, people with traditional clothes, barongsai, and variety of warak ngendog arts. Warak ngendog itself is a symbol of animal with goat head and dragon skin.
