Culinary: TM Cafe at Lavender MRT Station

When I was just arriving in Spore, I made an appointment with my friends to meet them at Lavender MRT Station. After meet them...we decided to have lunch first before exploring Singapore. There is kopitiam behind the MRT station exit, but it seems I have to wait longer to find any seat. So we walked to the building behind the station and found this... TM Cafe. The food stall is offering Malay food *yayy....it's halal food* with cheap price. You can say... I bought for $3 or $4...just mention the price you want to pay...so they will serve the food according to your price.

I bought rice with ayam chili *chicken cooked with chili* with sambal belacan. One thing...if you can't eat that much, make sure that you say to them that you want to have a few rice. The food portions are quite a lot for me.

What you should know
The stall is quite narrow, so..you have to be patient to have your seat or you should have your food take away. Always order beverages with the old man....because if you order with the women...you probably will have same experience with me....I never have my teh tarik! It seems the women's duty are serving the food and the old man is serving the beverages.

For anybody whose searching for halal and cheap food in Singapore...you could come here!!

Culinary: Malaysian cuisine in Jogja...only at Rempah Asia

When I miss horlick, or canai, or even nasi lemak I usually come to this restaurant. Not a big or fancy resto, but when I'm here, I feel as if I'm not in Yogya. People who came here usually are Malay and Indian, besides Indonesian off course.

Here, you can find Malaysian cuisine like nasi lemak, roti canai, and nasi tomat. But if you are not so into in Malaysian cuisine, you can have Tom Yam, Fried Rice,Fried Noodle,  Soup, even chinesse food like Fu Yung Hai.
Or maybe you just only want to have some snacks. That's okay. You can order french fries or pisang bakar (grilled banana with chocolate topping and cheese)

Inside the restaurant
Nasi Lemak

Canai keju (Canai Cheese) with teh tarik

My recommended menu are: Nasi Lemak ikan sotong with es sirup cincau
This restaurant is located at Jalan Kaliurang, on the north of Dunkin Donuts. It's easy to reach. Open daily from 8 am till midnight.
And what about the price? Don't worry....it's very afordable. The price of Nasi Lemak is about Rp. 12.000-15.000. One glass of tea o ice is about Rp 3000 *cmiiw*.
So...when you are in Yogya and dying for Malaysian cuisine.....you can go to Rempah Asia...
